Do you have a keen Astronomer or Astrophysicist in the making at home ready to explore the universe?

Friday the 25th of September Discovery will be joining research coordinator from the ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery (OzGrav)*, Lisa Horsley, to immerse ourselves in the immensity of the universe through the amazing power of VR!

Not only will you be taken on a guided tour of the universe you will also get to have your questions and quandaries about the mysteries of the cosmos answered live as you look into the beauty of space up close.

This event will be a live Zoom event and as such you will need:

• • A smart phone with the app pre downloaded on your smartphone
  • A VR headset, which will be dropped in your mailbox the day before the event if you live within 20km of the discovery Science & Technology centre if you live further afield you can collect it from the Discovery Center on Wednesday the 23rd of September between 10am-4pm.
  • A laptop/computer/tablet so you can see , speak and explore with science communicators live as you search through the universe.
  • You will emailed the link for the Zoom session and the password on the day of the event

After the event the VR headsets are yours to keep so you can continue to explore!

$10 for first VR headset delivered
