This year as part of the Central Victorian Indigenous Film Festival (CVIFF) Discovery are running a hands-on virtual science workshop for kids aged 3-7. This workshop is based around an episode of animated children’s series Little J and Big Cuz.
We will all watch Little J and Big Cuz S1 Ep13 – Night Owl & Morning Maggie at 1:30pm on March 30th on SBS or NITV online and after this 12minute episode we will all work together to do some science experiments inspired by the episode.
For the workshop you will need:
4 toilet paper rolls per child
5 sheets of paper
Sticky tape
Scissors
We will email everyone who signs up the workshop link and password for the event on the day.
This Logie Award-winning animated series, featuring Miranda Tapsell and Deborah Mailman, follows the adventures of Indigenous Australian kids Little J and Big Cuz living with their Nanna and Old Dog. With the help of Nanna and their teacher Ms Chen they learn about culture, community and country. #LittleJBigCuz
Little J and Big Cuz is free to stream on the below platforms and is available in English or Djambarrpuyngu language and has a great website with awesome educational resources.
