All our workshops are designed with the Victorian Curriculum in mind. They extend students and get them to engage with topics in a hands-on and inspiring way. These workshops can be used as a launch pad for starting a unit, a great way to round out a topic or to give students that extra boost they need to really spark their curiosity about a subject. These workshops are able to be run at Discovery or as incursions at your school. Please click on the pictures below or contact us to know more.
Intro to Coding and Robotics
This workshop introduces students to the concepts of coding, as they learn to control the paths of Sphero robots using a tablet.
Explore concepts of coding, and learn to control the paths of Blue-Bot floor robots.
Young discoverers can take their first step in scientific exploration by conducting some real experiments in our Lab, learning some key scientific inquiry skills such as asking questions and making observations.
Circuits and Switches
Students work with electrical components to discover how to operate circuits and create their own game.
Students use trial and error to control the path of a marble. They will engineer solutions to the problems they encounter using forces such as gravity, friction, push, pull and balance.
Students are challenged to overcome obstacles through engineering, using creativity to explore the forces of gravity and the power of air.
