Primary School Program

Discovery’s Primary School program brings science to life through interactive, curriculum-aligned experiences that engage students’ curiosity and critical thinking. Students can explore our interactive exhibits, get hands-on with a range of workshops, and discover the wonders of the universe in the planetarium.

Our primary school workshops are designed to support key learning outcomes while building students’ skills in collaboration, communication, and resilience. They help learners connect classroom concepts to practical, real-world experiences. Workshops can act as a launch pad for a new unit, a meaningful way to round out a topic, or an extra boost to spark curiosity and deepen understanding.

Primary Workshops At Discovery

Get ready to build, spin and animate with LEGO® bricks! Join the Bendigo Art Gallery Learn team at the Discovery Centre and step into the world of kinetic artist Alex Sanson.

Circuits and Switches

Light it up. Learn how electricity flows through circuits and make switches that control it, hands on and full of spark.

Build, program and control real robots. Learn how coding meets mechanics in this fun, hands on tech adventure.

LL – Lets Be Scientists

Step into the shoes of a scientist. Investigate, experiment and explore the world through fun, hands on discovery.

Explore the science behind colour and light. Mix, reflect and refract to uncover how we see the world in vivid shades.

Mix, fizz and experiment. Discover what happens when everyday substances combine in colourful, bubbly and surprising chemical reactions.

Get up close with the tiny creatures that keep our ecosystems alive. Explore how minibeasts live, move, and help the environment through hands on discovery and observation.
