Getting To Discovery!

Getting to the Discovery Centre is a breeze. We're just across the road from the Bendigo Train Station and the bus depot, so you can hop off and stroll right in. Driving? No worries! There's heaps of parking nearby, with both short-term and all-day spots just a short walk from the entrance.

If you're cycling, there are bike paths leading right into town and spots to lock up your bike near the door. Just follow the signs around the station area and Mitchell Street, and you'll spot our bright red brick building in no time.

However you get here, arriving at Discovery is laid-back, easy, and perfect for families, school groups, and anyone up for a bit of fun.

Parking

There are designated disabled parking bays at both the Bendigo Marketplace car-park and the Bendigo Train Station car-park. Both bays are linked by an accessibility ramp to the Centre’s entrance.

The Centre is located directly opposite the Bendigo Train Station and the central bus depot, offering easy public-transport access for all visitors.

Mobility

The Centre is fully accessible to prams and wheelchairs via the front entrance, ensuring smooth arrival and departure.

A continuous, ramp-accessible path links all exhibit areas, so visitors using mobility aids can move throughout independently.

If you require assistance or need a slower pace, our front-desk team will be happy to support you.
Public Transport
Discovery sits right opposite Bendigo Train Station and the bus depot, making it quick and easy to reach by public transport for all visitors.
Car Parking
Bendigo Marketplace carpark via Mitchell Street, Edward Street and Arthur Street and has over 1,200 free car park spaces including disabled car park and parents with prams parking spaces.
Bus Parking
Bus parking is available alongside the Marketplace loading bay, enter via Arthur Street. There is additional bus parking behind the Marketplace.
Facilities
You’ll find toilets on the ground floor, including an accessible toilet with a baby change room for families. Showers are also available for sleepovers.
Accessibility
Discovery is a place for everyone to explore, learn, and have fun. Our centre is wheelchair and pram friendly, with ramps and accessible toilets on the ground floor.
Food & Drink
Take a break in our dining area or resting spaces. Bring your own food, refill at our Coliban Water fountain, or visit nearby Bendigo Marketplace cafés.
