Take your next event to new heights at the Discovery Science & Technology Centre! Enjoy exclusive after-hours access to the entire centre and treat your guests to an unforgettable evening of science, fun, and adventure.

Whether you’re planning a work party, team-building event, or special celebration, Discovery offers a unique experience that combines creativity, excitement, and a touch of wonder. Imagine starting the night with laughter and adrenaline as everyone takes on the 7-metre Vertical Slide, followed by a breathtaking journey through the stars in our Planetarium.

The Bendigo Planetarium

The Planetarium is one of Discovery’s most unique and intimate spaces, perfect for events that deserve a sense of wonder. From weddings and performances to cocktail nights under the stars, the Planetarium offers a setting unlike anything else in Bendigo. A truly unforgettable venue for moments that matter.

Capacity: up to 40 people
Historic Charm Meets Modern Functionality

Discovery Auditorium

The Auditorium is a versatile space ideal for presentations, performances, screenings, workshops, and community events. Featuring a 10-metre-wide projection wall, dedicated audio system, and access to a kitchenette, it’s perfectly suited for events that bring people together. A comfortable and adaptable space to share ideas and create meaningful moments.

Capacity: up to 120 people

Discovery Boardroom

The Boardroom is a flexible, fully equipped meeting space ideal for organisations, businesses, and community groups. With video conferencing, a whiteboard, and its own kitchenette, it provides a practical and comfortable setting for planning sessions, team meetings, and collaborative work. A reliable space designed to support focused, productive conversations.

Capacity: up to 15 people

The Laboratory

A fun, colourful, science-themed space where messes can be made, the Lab is a versatile, hands-on environment ideal for workshops, training sessions, and creative projects. With plenty of room to experiment, it’s perfect for groups seeking an interactive, energetic setting for learning and collaboration.

Day time function price is on application only, with a quote sent out once details are confirmed. Included is a staff member to help throughout the event. Entrance to our 100+ hands-on exhibits is included in the function cost. Whilst we cannot provide catering beyond tea and coffee facilities, there are many great catering companies in Bendigo that we are happy to recommend.
