Curious Kids

Curious Kids is a weekly science story time created especially for children aged three to five. Each session blends a carefully chosen children’s book with simple, hands-on experiments and playful STEAM activities that spark curiosity and confidence. Little learners explore scientific ideas through stories, movement and guided discovery, building early literacy and problem-solving skills in a fun, friendly setting. Parents and carers are welcome to join in, making it a warm shared experience that supports learning at home.

Acknowledgment of Country

We would like to acknowledge that the Discovery Centre is on the traditional land of the Dja Dja Wurrung clan of the Kulin Nation, and recognise that they are among the first scientists, astronomers and engineers in human history. We pay respect to them, their culture and knowledge, and to the Elders, past, present & emerging.
